|Imperial College London is a science-based university with an international reputation for world class education and for excellence in research. Imperial College London has been ranked the 8th best university in the world, according to the Times Higher Education league table (2011-2012). There are approximately 8,000 staff in total and 13,000 students, of whom approximately a third are postgraduates following research programmes and attending postgraduate advanced courses. 14 Nobel Laureates have been members of the College either as staff or students. Imperial will participate through the AESOP research group (Analysis, Engineering, Simulation & Optimisation of Performance) of the Department of Computing. AESOP includes five full-time academics, and several research assistants and PhD students.|
|Politecnico di Milano is one of the Technical Universities in Italy. It was established in 1863 and is ranked as one of the most outstanding European universities in Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design. Politecnico di Milano participates in this project through members of Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria (DEIB), belonging specifically to the DEpendable Evolvable Pervasive Software Engineering (DEEP- SE) group. DEEP-SE has been ranked among the internationally excellent groups in the software engineering area by a recent international peer review. The research activity of the DEEP-SE group focuses on techniques, tools, and frameworks for the development and run-time management of complex soft- ware systems. It encompasses a variety of aspects of such systems, ranging from modelling and analysis issues in the early phases of their development, to issues related to their implementation and run-time management.|
|IeAT is a private non-profit Romanian research institute in computer science organized as an association between three public universities to sustain their R&D activities. More than forty researchers from the Computer Science departments of West and Politehnica Universities of Timisoara, and Johannes-Kepler University of Linz, are currently working to the institute’s projects granted by national and European research agencies. The team involved in DICE is specialized in distributed computing, artificial intelligence, software engineering and security.|
|XLAB is a Slovenian R&D performing SME, with a strong commercial background (see below) and the corresponding research group. XLAB Research is recognized as one of the strongest computer science research teams outside the academic world in Slovenia. It employs 35 people including 7 with a PhD and the vast majority with MSc or BSc degrees. XLAB research also runs a program for young researchers, which currently includes 7 PhD students from various fields (economics, machine learning, computer science, etc.). XLAB as a whole employs 62 people and closely collaborates with 34 external experts, providing the whole company with access to more than 100 experts in the fields of computer science, electronics and mathematics as well as design and marketing.|

PRODEVELOP is specialized in consulting, development, deploying, and operating geospatial solutions based on free and open source software. The success in our projects is based on the acquired experience in geospatial industry, and the collaboration with the main developers groups in the world. The research lines at PRODEVELOP include mobile mapping, interoperability of sensor systems through SWE (Sensor Web Enablement), geoprocessing services, embedded software, geospatial technologies in mobile, desktop, Web and service environments, and modeling software system. PRODEVELOP main products are geospatial desktop and web applications, precision agriculture management systems as well as a complete set of products related with the maritime sector. |Netfective Technology is a French SME (140 employees). It has 5 sites. The headquarters are in Paris (Suresnes). Other premises are Bordeaux, Morocco and USA. Netfective’s CEO is Christian Champagne. Netfective’s main product is BLU AGE® (www.bluage. com). Over a decade, Netfective has developed an integrated model driven development (MDD) technology and method (application generator, UML profile, Platform-Description Model builder). From this key worldwide expertise and successful business in Europe and in the USA, Netfective is able to significantly contribute to the DICE methodology/environment (WP1) along with a contribution in WP2 (modeling languages/profiles definition). WP6 about case studies and WP7 (dissemination/exploitation) are also expertise fields of Netfective.|

There are approximately 6,000 staff in total and 30,000 students, of whom approximately 5,000 are postgraduates following research programmes and attending postgraduate advanced courses. Nobel Laureate Santiago Ramón y Cajal was professor of the University. The Faculty of Engineering (EINA), is responsible of all technical degrees (Grade, Master and PhD) in the Aragon region of Spain. The members in this proposal belong to EINA, in particular to the Computer Science branch, that through the Aragon Institute of Engineering Research (I3A) work in the generation of knowledge and technology related to ICT and its transmission to the society by means of technology transfer, education and dissemination.|
